Hello everyone!
When we opened the doors to our little Magasin Général, my biggest dream was simply to create a welcoming space. A place where neighbors could gather, share a smile, and feel at home. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that so soon after opening, we would welcome such a distinguished guest.
On Thursday, April 9th, we experienced a moment that truly exceeded all our expectations. The wonderful Tatiana Auguste, who we are always thrilled to see as a regular at the shop, walked through our doors accompanied by none other than Mark Carney!
The word honor is not strong enough to describe this moment. As a new business in the neighborhood, having someone of his stature choose to visit our shop is an experience that touches us deeply.
Surrounded by the comforting aroma of fresh coffee, it was beautiful to see our space come alive with such wonderful energy. What struck me the most was just how warm and approachable Mark Carney was. Even though he had a very tight schedule and had to leave quickly, he stayed to chat with the gathered supporters and graciously took the time to take a few photos with us.
Moments like this remind me exactly why we set up shop here. It’s all about connection. It’s about building a strong and supportive community right here in the beautiful streets of Vieux-Terrebonne. Tatiana has always been a wonderful ambassador for our region, and seeing her bring that level of support directly into our shop means the world to me.
We are still floating on cloud nine after this beautiful experience! Thank you to everyone who has supported us since day one. Whether you are a visiting leader, a local candidate, or a neighbor dropping by for your daily visit, you are the ones who make this adventure so special.
